Prepare to fall in love with Japanese-born artist Chef Shinya Hirakawa.
Some know this accomplished vinyl aficionado, a.k.a Crate Digga, for his impressive collection of DJ sets, while others recognize his fame from working the righteous fish counters at Frame fave spots:
Ronin Sushi and Noble Fish.
Luckily for us, this genius sushi guru is flying hand-in-hand with partner Kelly Ardito to preview Obi Sushi, taking over FRAMEbar for the month of August with nigiri, sashimi, negimaki, and enough varieties of temaki (hand rolls) to keep us coming back for weeks.
Add in a new rotation of paired cocktails by Frame’s Mixtress Jaz’min Weaver with Shinya’s jams playing overhead — an eclectic mix of soul and funk —
and we once again know just what to do here.
