Returning to Frame for his second residency, Eddie Vargas brings a hyper-seasonal tour of Mexico to our open kitchen, kicking September and Hispanic Heritage Month off in just right direction.

Earning the recognition for top taco and best margarita at this year’s Taco Showdown Detroit,
the group of brick-and-mortar restaurants (Los Altos, Los Arcos, La Palapa del Parian) Eddie manages are packed with cultural influences thanks in part to this Detroit restaurant veteran’s grandparents, who were taqueros back in Jalisco.

Clear your calendars and prepare your palates for dishes like Cochinita Pibil, a traditional Mayan slow-roasted pork dish from the Yucatán Peninsula; Chile en Nogada from Puebla; and a Salpicon Ceviche from Jalisco.

Something tells us that next month is going to be very tasty.
So get in quick if you don’t want to miss out on one of Southwest Detroit’s finest.
