In splendid time to experience Mardi Gras, Chef Chris Johnson brings us a full-on Laissez–faire NOLA dinner party. The French call it Mardi Gras; the Brazilian and Caribbean cultures call it, Carnival. We call it a great reason to throw a party! Think French wine, New Orleans’ famed cocktails, dozens of colorful Mardi Gras beads, masquerade masks, Shrimp Poboy’s with Smoked Oyster Mayonnaise and a live blues-jazz band. To boot – it’s Leap Year Day, only happening every four years – granting us this extra day for innovative imbibing and whooping it up.
