GERMANbar at FRAMEbar with DeutschTroit
Just in time to soak up Oktoberfest’s namesake month (yes, in September!) we’re bringing steins of bier, modernized rock renditions of the polka, and a chef-refined shared plates GERMANbar menu from DeutschTroit, Detroit’s own purveyors of authentic German fare.
We’re bringing all the elements you’ll need to be transported straight to the heart of Bavaria: house-made soft pretzels, warm beer cheese, schnitzel, landjäger, beer-braised beef brisket and fluffy potato dumplings. Also bringing a not-to-miss currywurst with skin-on fries — an ode to Berlin street food done to perfection!
Frame’s resident mixtress Jaz’min Weaver and wine director Sean Crenny have created a Haus Bar Takeover focusing on seasonal re-imaginings of German classics. Think Saison, Hefeweizen, Doppelbock, and local Oktoberfest brews on tap, plus Black Forest cake cocktails, and wine flights of under-the-radar gems from the world’s German-speaking regions.
You’ll be hard-pressed to leave this season’s partei without a few mandatory “Prosts!” and a warm Munich-style welcome.
