Prepare to meet chef Mike Conrad, an incredibly cool New York transplant who has ambitiously been a mainstay in some of Detroit’s very best kitchens (Takoi, Oak and Reel).
Hot on the heels of a lockdown success story with a string of sold-out pop-ups, Mike brings French-ish to Frame. Working with the best ingredients he can get his hands on, French-ish is based on a love of timeless Parisian elegance combined with modern techniques and bold flavors. Chef’s cooking is a thing of deceptive simplicity and beauty.
Get ready to swoon with us over dishes like leek vinaigrette with smoked lamb and hazelnuts; plancha tomato with harissa and manchego; and potato ecrasé with Calvados, escargot, and fennel — all paired with delicately complex aperitif cocktails and house-made tonics.
Of course, absinthe will make an appearance from behind Frame’s marble bar, and, oh yes,
French wines hand-selected by sommelier Sean Crenny.
